These Terms and Conditions govern the use of Aurelius Business through its web platform and mobile application.
Aurelius Business purchases products from established brands and manufacturers and resells them to business customers. Its catalogue includes foodstuffs, agricultural commodities, cooking ingredients, kitchen utensils, cookware, appliances, and commercial kitchen equipment.
By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Aurelius Business allows eligible customers to place orders either by creating a business account or through guest checkout, without registering an account.
Registered Business Accounts: Customers who create an account may be required to provide business registration documents, valid identification, a business address, and other information necessary for verification. Verification may be conducted with the assistance of third-party service providers. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their information is accurate and keeping their login credentials secure.
Guest Checkout: Customers may place eligible orders without creating an account. Guest customers must provide accurate contact, billing, and delivery information, together with any other details reasonably required to process their orders and comply with applicable laws. Certain services or payment arrangements, including installment purchases, may require account registration and additional verification.
Aurelius may refuse, cancel, or restrict an order where information provided is inaccurate, verification requirements are not met, or fraud or unlawful activity is reasonably suspected.
Products are displayed with their applicable prices and descriptions. While Aurelius makes reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, product availability, specifications, packaging, and prices may change before an order is confirmed.
Customers may add multiple products to one cart and complete payment through a single checkout.
Once an order is confirmed after the required payment or installment down-payment has been received, the product prices for that order are locked. Subsequent price changes will not affect the confirmed order.
Aurelius is a reseller, not the manufacturer of the products listed. Manufacturer warranties, where available, are subject to their applicable terms and do not remove any legal obligations Aurelius has to customers.
Each business account has an in-platform wallet that can be funded and used for eligible purchases. Customers may also pay through available third-party payment gateways.
The following charges apply:
For outright purchases, customers pay the full product value, processing fee, and delivery fee.
For installment purchases, the service charge is calculated on the total product value. The applicable payment breakdown is displayed before checkout.
Customers must ensure that payments are completed through approved payment channels. Aurelius is not responsible for losses arising from payments made to unauthorised accounts.
Unless a different arrangement is expressly presented and accepted at checkout, installment purchases follow this structure:
The applicable amounts, due dates, and payment schedule will be displayed or communicated before the order is confirmed.
Customers are responsible for meeting their agreed repayment obligations. Failure to pay may result in account restrictions, suspension of further installment purchases, or other lawful recovery measures.
Cancelling an order after dispatch does not automatically extinguish any outstanding payment obligation. Any adjustment will be assessed under the cancellation, return, and refund provisions below.
Cancellation and refund eligibility depend on the order type and whether dispatch has begun.
The product price and delivery fee will be refunded to the customer's Aurelius Business wallet. The processing fee is non-refundable, except where required by law.
The product payments and service charge paid towards the order, together with the delivery fee, will be refunded to the customer's Aurelius Business wallet. The processing fee remains non-refundable, except where required by law.
Cancellation is subject to review. Where a refund is approved, the product price may be refunded less any applicable, previously disclosed, lawful cancellation, return, or handling charges. The processing fee and delivery fee are not refundable unless required by law.
The request will be reviewed based on the amount paid, the order's status, the products' condition, and any applicable, disclosed, lawful charges. Any refund and adjustment of outstanding installments will be communicated to the customer. Customers must not assume that cancellation automatically removes an outstanding balance.
Eligible refunds will ordinarily be credited to the customer's Aurelius Business wallet. Where a withdrawal option is available, the customer may request withdrawal to the original payment account, subject to identity verification, payment-provider requirements, applicable fees disclosed in advance, and applicable law.
Refund requests involving incorrect, damaged, missing, or materially different products will be assessed under Section 6.
Customers must provide accurate delivery details and ensure that someone authorised to receive the order is available.
Customers should inspect their products upon delivery and report visible damage, missing items, incorrect products, or material discrepancies to the delivery representative and Aurelius before the handover is completed, where reasonably possible. Photographs or videos may be requested to support a complaint.
Orders generally cannot be cancelled or modified once dispatch has begun. However, customers may report delivery problems and request an appropriate remedy under Aurelius's review process.
Reporting a problem before the delivery representative leaves helps establish the condition of the order at handover. It does not remove any rights customers may have concerning hidden defects or other matters protected by applicable law.
Where a return, replacement, or refund is approved, Aurelius will communicate the applicable process to the customer.
Eligible business customers may receive referral credits by inviting other businesses through their referral links.
Under the standard referral programme:
Credits are calculated on eligible product value, excluding processing fees, delivery fees, and other charges. They are promotional wallet credits, not cash, and cannot be withdrawn or transferred. They cannot be used to pay processing or delivery fees or installment down-payments unless Aurelius expressly permits this.
Referral credits may be applied to eligible future purchases or outstanding installment balances where the platform supports that use. Aurelius may investigate suspected referral abuse and withhold or reverse credits obtained through fraudulent activity.
Customers must not use Aurelius Business for fraud, unlawful transactions, false representations, payment manipulation, or activities that interfere with the platform or other users.
Aurelius may suspend or restrict an account, cancel an affected order, or take other lawful action where there is reasonable evidence of fraud, abuse, security risks, or a material breach of these Terms.
Aurelius collects and processes business, identity, transaction, delivery, and account information as necessary to provide its services, verify customers, process payments, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
Information may be shared with authorised verification providers, payment processors, delivery providers, and other service providers where necessary for these purposes and subject to applicable data-protection requirements.
Further details are provided in the Aurelius Business Privacy Policy, available through the platform.
Aurelius aims to keep its services available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, network problems, third-party service failures, or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
To the extent permitted by law, Aurelius is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from platform interruptions or a customer's use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Aurelius may update these Terms to reflect changes in its services, operations, or legal obligations. Updated Terms will be published through the platform with a revised date. Where required by law, customers will be notified of material changes or asked to provide renewed consent.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Customers should first contact Aurelius to resolve disputes in good faith. Where a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it may be referred to a competent court in Abuja, Nigeria, or to arbitration where the parties have a valid and enforceable arbitration agreement. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking urgent legal relief where appropriate.
For questions, complaints, order issues, or refund requests, customers should contact Aurelius Business through the official support channels provided on its web platform or mobile application.
